At RSPCA Woodside, every pod and kennel is more than just a shelter – it’s a safe haven where abandoned, neglected, and frightened cats and dogs can rest, recover, and begin their journey towards a better future. Every day, animals arrive in our care, each with their own story and needs. With 44 cat pods and 60 dog kennels, which are almost always at maximum capacity, we provide safety and comfort for animals who have nowhere else to turn.
By choosing to sponsor a cat pod or dog kennel, for just £8 per month, you help provide warmth, care, and love while each animal waits for their forever home. As a self-funded branch, we receive no government funding or financial support from the national RSPCA. Everything we do – from medical treatment and daily feeding, to behaviour support and enrichment activities – is made possible entirely through the kindness of our supporters, keeping these vital spaces safe, well-equipped, and ready for every animal who passes through our care.
What will my sponsorship cover?
Your sponsorship directly supports the day-to-day care of the animals who rely on us including:
- Veterinary care – routine vaccinations, flea/worm treatments, and essential medical or emergency care
- Nutritious food – meals that are tailored to each animal’s dietary needs
- Heating and electricity – keeping pods and kennels warm, dry and safe in all seasons
- Cleaning supplies – ensuring a clean, comfortable environment
- Enrichment and behavioural support – helping animals with socialisation and learning to feel safe, happy and confident
- Maintenance of pods and kennels – repairs and upkeep to ensure every space is fit for purpose
