My name is Ranch!

Please Note

If an animal on the website has 'reserved' on their photo, you can still apply for that animal. The 'Reserved' sign is added to an animal as soon as an individual enquires about them. This means that animal is still AVAILABLE, since the person enquiring may not be suitable, and you can therefore still contact us to apply to adopt the animal.

A little about me

Ranch is looking for a very specific home where he can feel safe, supported and truly thrive. Due to his nervous nature around people, he is only suitable to live with children aged 16 years and over, where the environment is calmer and more predictable. He will need a quiet home with limited visitors, as busy households can feel overwhelming for him. Ranch can find new people and situations worrying, so he needs patient and understanding owners who are happy to go at his pace and give him the time he needs to settle in. Ranch will definitely need a confident dog companion in the home. He absolutely loves other dogs and gains a huge amount of confidence from them – they help him feel safe and more comfortable around people. His ideal doggy friend would be able to match his energy levels and tolerate his full-on, playful personality. He is a bright, busy and intelligent boy with lots of energy. Ranch is a bit of a “mountain goat” and loves to run and jump, so he will need a secure garden with fencing over 6ft and owners who can provide both physical and mental stimulation. Ranch will need ongoing training and support, including building up confidence in new environments and learning how to relax when left alone. He should not be left for long initially (1–2 hours maximum), and adopters should be committed to continuing his training journey. With the right home, a steady routine, and a suitable dog companion, Ranch has so much potential to grow in confidence and become a fun, active and rewarding companion.
