My name is Lila!

Please Note

If an animal on the website has 'reserved' on their photo, you can still apply for that animal. The 'Reserved' sign is added to an animal as soon as an individual enquires about them. This means that animal is still AVAILABLE, since the person enquiring may not be suitable, and you can therefore still contact us to apply to adopt the animal.

A little about me

Lila is a sweet clever girl. She likes her kennel routine due to it being predictable and with people she trusts. We are trying to teach Lila how to cope in a home environment, training to settle on a mat, crate training and helping her feel better if her person goes out of sight. We are also working on building her confidence around cars and travelling. She can be unsure of new places and meeting new people however she does warm to you, especially with a little reassurance and the help of a tasty treat. Once she knows you, she’ll be a firm friend. Lila is muzzle trained and will need to wear her muzzle in public so she is given the space she needs. She is also on medication to help her with anxiety and coping in new surroundings. She will need to go home on this medication and may need to stay on this long term. Our resident vet and behaviourist will liaise with Lila's new owner to decide if she needs to stay on the medication or if she can be weaned off it gradually. In order for Lila to feel comfortable and build a bond with her new owner, multiple meets at the centre would be required. Lila will need an adult only home (children aged 16+) as well as being the only pet. A more rural setting would be best for Lila.

Lila is excited to know more about you!
